Instagram is going to add advertisements to its users’ feed and now users will also be able to see ads in their stories. Facebook’s Ownership Image Sharing Platform has made changes to its advertising strategy and now brands can showcase their promoters photos and add users all in the Instagram Stories. This may not have been liked by some users because sponsored posts are already seen on Instagram, but the stories were kept separate from them.

Instagram can start showing sponsored posts in the stories in the next few weeks. “We have worked on creating many tools for both business and creators and can move forward with brands,” said a statement released by Instagram. Brands demanded that they could show their content to more and more users. The Stories feature on Instagram is quite popular, where you can share a picture or short video for 24 hours. Here users also get the option to add special stickers and effects. Stories feature is also available on Facebook and Whatsapp, but it is the most popular on Instagram.

The company says that with the help of new tools available on the Facebook Add Platform, the reach of brands will be increased to target audiences. In such a situation, it is not necessary for them to see ads that follow a Creator’s account. On Instagram, these ads will be like any normal photo and will not be like any poster, but in the caption of the post, ‘Paid Participation with’ will be written as well as the name of the brand. This is being done so that the users can understand that photo is advertising and that is why they are visible.

Instagram launched a new feature ‘Opt-In’. This will reduce the consumption of internet data in the user’s app. Instagram said that this feature has been specially designed keeping in mind the markets where mobile internet data plans are limited or their speed is very slow. According to the statement, with this help, users will get the option to watch the HD content on Instagram, on any one of the Wi-Fi or mobile data.
