A day after revealing that its upcoming X7 Android smartphone is going to feature an impressive 16MP selfie camera on the front, Chinese manufacturer Vivo today released a new teaser that reveal a little more about the device.
The new teaser shows off the physical home button on the front, which is going to embed the fingerprint scanner as well. This is hardly a surprise though, as most new Android smartphones these days are starting to offer a fingerprint scanner. In addition to the new teaser, some more info on the handset arrived today courtesy of alleged industry insiders.
According to the latest report, the Vivo X7 will feature a 5.2-inch sized display with 1080p Full HD resolution. Powering the handset will be MediaTek’s new Helio X25 deca-core chipset, paired with either 4 or 6GB of RAM. Depending on the version, internal storage will either be 64GB or 128GB. The battery inside is said to be a 3000mAh unit, which sounds pretty decent although not particularly impressive.
The Vivo X7 will apparently be priced at 2698 Yuan in China for the base 64GB variant with 4GB of RAM and 3288 Yuan for the 128GB variant with 6GB of RAM. Clearly, the X7 isn’t going to be a flagship smartphone but will instead be a high-end device with what is expected to be a completely new design. Previous reports have suggested the handset could look very similar to the Vivo concept phone featured in Captain American Civil War movie, so we’re definitely pretty excited about the design of the X7. Another major highlight will be the 16MP selfie camera on the front, something that we have already told you about. We don’t usually see such a high resolution camera on the front, so selfie addicts are definitely going to be very happy with the upcoming Vivo X7. We expect more details regarding the smartphone to crop up online over the next few days.
