Xiaomi has announced several smartphones this year, including the Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3 Pro and the company’s flagship, the Mi 5. That being said, Xiaomi is planning to release some new hardware on May 10th, the company has confirmed that the Xiaomi Max (also referred to as the Xiaomi Mi Max) phablet and MIUI 8 OS are coming, while the Mi Band 2 fitness tracker is also a possibility, even though it wasn’t officially confirmed that it will launch. The company’s CEO has already released real life images of the Xiaomi Max and Mi Band 2, and the fitness band has surfaced in a new image yesterday as well. As it usually goes, new leak surfaced once again, read on.

If you take a look at the provided image, you’ll get to see a new real life image of the Xiaomi’s upcoming phablet, the Xiaomi Max. As some of you might know, the company has already shared a teaser image of this smartphone, and we’ve seen the upper portion of the device, but we’re still not sure if the device will sport a physical home button, or will it be the capacitive one. The image Lei Jun shared was too blurry in order to see such detail, but according to the newly leaked shot, we’ll get Xiaomi’s standard three capacitive buttons setup (menu, home and back). To make things even more interesting, it seems like the power button and volume rocker keys will be placed on the left side of this phablet, if this image is legit, of course. The SIM card tray is placed on the right-hand side of the Xiaomi Max in this image, and as you can see, the phone sport a metallic trim. The device actually reminds us a lot of the Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices which were introduced back in January last year.

The Xiaomi Max will, according to rumors and leaked benchmarks, sport a 6.4-inch fullHD (1920 x 1080) display, along with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device will most probably going to come with the Snapdragon 650 64-bit octa-core processor, even though the Snapdragon 820 and Xiaomi’s very own ‘Rifle’ SoCs have also been mentioned in rumors. Android Marshmallow will come pre-installed on this phablet, and the company’s MIUI 8 OS will be installed on top of it.
