The Meizu MX Pro 6 was initially announced in Dark Grey, Silver, Red, Gold, and Rose Gold color options, but only three color variants were made available for purchase. However, it appears that both the Red and the Rose Gold models are on their way, or at least that’s what the latest leak suggests.
Two hands-on photos of the Meizu MX Pro 6 in Red and Rose Gold have leaked online via a Chinese source. As you can see in the photos, except for the color, the Red and Rose Gold Meizu Pro 6 has the same overall design as its Dark Grey, Silver, and Gold siblings. For the time being there’s no information when the two new color options will hit the market, but since they were caught in real life the release shouldn’t be too far away. In terms of technical specifications, the Red and Rose Gold models will no doubt be the same as the original Pro 6.
The Meizu MX Pro 6 packs a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with 3D Touch capabilities, Full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution, 423 ppi pixel density, and Gorilla Glass 4 protection, while being underpinned by a 64-bit deca-core Mediatek MT6797T Helio X25 processor paired with a Mali T880 MP4 GPU. It also brings 4 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of non-expandable storage.
Out on the back there’s a 21 MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection and laser autofocus, ten-LED dual tone flash, 1/2.4″ sensor size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama, while the front-facing camera has a 5 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone comes pre-loaded with the company’s Flyme 5.6 OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it’s kept alive by a 2,560 mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity it arrives with LTE Cat.6, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 Low Energy, GPS, A-GSP, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type C. It measures 147.7 x 70.8 x 7.3 mm, has a weight of 160 grams, and features a fingerprint reader embedded in the Home button.
On the Chinese market, the 32 GB and 64 GB variants of the Meizu MX Pro 6 are priced 2,499 Yuan (about $385) and 2,799 Yuan (about $435), respectively.
