
Xiaomi, the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, released the highly anticipated Xiaomi Pad 2, which runs on the latest Intel Atom Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 SoC. To everybody’s surprise, there are two editions running different operating systems.

Both the Android Edition and the Windows 10 Edition has the same design and internal features: a 7.9-inch IPS display at the resolution of 2048*1536, a slim metallic body, an Intel Atom Cherry Trail X5-Z8300 SoC, 2GB RAM, 6190mAh Li-Po battery, a 5MP front camera, an 8MP main camera, and a USB Type C port for charging and data transmission. The Xiao mi Pad 2 comes in two color options: Champagne gold and Space silver. The Android Edition offers two storage choices: 16GB and 64GB, while the Windows 10 version only has theĀ 64GB storage version.

The 16GB version is priced at RMB999 ($156), while the 64GB version (both Android Edition and Windows 10 Edition) has a price tag of RMB1,299 ($203). They will be on sale at the end of December.
