We previously reported on the Mele PCG03 from the Hong Kong fair back in October last year. Mele has finally started mass producing their fanless Z3735F based miniPC and it is now on pre-sale via offical sales channels from 149USD including shipping and a genuine Windows 8.1 license.

Links to all official sales channels at the end of post.

There are already few cheaper Windows 8.1 TV boxes on sale like the, 10moons D9i (125USD), Pipo X7 (115USD) and the coming Minix NEO Z64 (price unknown) but the Mele PCG03 have few strong selling points over the competition, and the the extra USD may well be worth it.

Mele PCG03 strong selling points:

  • Mele is an official Microsoft partner. PCG03 comes pre-installed with Windows 8.1 Bing NTE and paid license.
  • HDMI and VGA out allows dual displays
  • Modular design allows hardware upgrades
  • Patented fanless colling system offers better cooling and stability
  • SD card expansion with up to 512GB
  • Better after sales support and quality control

We are awaiting our own PCG03 test unit to arrive from China and will post a hands on review as soon as possible. Let us know what kind of test you like to see in the coming review.
